I think Discoverability of notes is crucial for your knowledge to compound over time. If you can't find your notes ever again, it's almost the same as never having taken the notes in the first place.
When we're writing something, we search for our previous notes for reference (it's like fishing for notes).
But, if your notes are isolated - not connected to other notes with links or tags - you will never find them again. They are sunk at the bottom of your mind ocean.
This is why Andy Matuschak argues Evergreen notes should be densely linked.
